Panel 4: Dr. Manhattan sarcastically asks Veidt, “[Is
that] another ultimate weapon [in your hand]?”
What Veidt is holding is the remote control for his television
sets. And, yes, it is an ultimate
weapon, as he stops his comrades in their tracks with the news reports that
seem to signal the success of his gruesome plan.
